Driver sentenced in death of Milwaukee man killed near Burleigh and MLK

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee woman was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison Friday, Jan. 19, after running a red light and killing a man in September of 2021.

Morhonda Hill was found guilty of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and knowingly operating while revoked (causing death) after police say she disregarded a red light at Burleigh and MLK. 

The driver of the vehicle that was struck, a 51-year-old Milwaukee man, later died at an area hospital. 

Her sentence is followed by four years of extended supervision.
