MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's an effort to immortalize a hometown hero. Local wrestling fans will no doubt remember Reggie Lisowski, or as he was known in the ring, "Da Crusher".
The South Milwaukee native appeared in high profile wrestling events for nearly 40 years between the 1950's and 1990's before his death in 2005. Now an effort is underway to fund the creation of a statue in his honor.
Stephanie Buffamonte spoke with Lisowski's daughters and the organizers behind this latest effort to honor the local legacy of the blue collar hero.
