Estabrook Beer Garden taps into summer with celebrations, free beer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Estabrook Beer Garden has announced plans for its grand opening weekend, set for Friday, April 21.

A release says at 6 p.m., District 1 County Supervisor Liz Sumner will tap the wooden keg, and attendees will be offered one hour of free Hofbräu Original Lager.

The event will also feature live music and a stein holding contest at 7 p.m.

You'll have another chance to score free beer on Sunday, April 23, to celebrate German Beer Day.

The beer garden will celebrate the Reinheitsgebot with a ceremonial keg tapping at noon and free beer while it lasts.

Estabook opens daily at noon, from April to mid-November.
