Exotic pet rescue waiving adoption fees for Betty White's birthday

NEENAH, Wis. (CBS 58) -- J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue is honoring the work of Betty White by waiving adoption fees on what would be her 101st birthday.

Space is limited, so you must make an appointment ahead of Jan. 17.

All adopted animals must also have an approved adoption application.

Last year, the organization accepted the surrender of more than 1,500 animals, including an alligator, reptiles and a rare Malaysian giant river turtle.

If you can't adopt, you're encouraged to take part in the Betty White Challenge by making a $5 donation to a local animal welfare group.
