PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Fall Street Festival is returning to Port Washington on Saturday, Oct. 8. Franklin St. downtown will be filled with tents, as local craftspeople and businesses set up shop for people to explore.

"This is our signature event of the season," said Kristina Tadeo, the executive director of Port Washington Main St. "We have over 100 vendors here on the street. We have an extended farmers market."

Grab some coffee from Angels Share, a Fond du Lac based coffee maker, to warm up with. Or shop locally grown pumpkins, fall decorations and honey, straight from the beekeeper.

"This is one of the few times a year where they actually let us shut down the streets of Port Washington," said Tadeo.

The festival will take place all along Franklin Street as well as Main and Pier streets. There will be pumpkin decorating, a car show, food and other family-friendly activities.

Plus, this year, the fireworks that were postponed on the Fourth of July will take place during the festival.

Formerly held over Memorial Day, this is the second year that the street festival is taking place in the fall.
