Family has no idea how 4-month-old ended up on Packers season ticket waiting list

GLENBEULAH (CBS 58) – A family in Glenbeulah is trying to solve a mystery after their 4-month-old ended up on the Packer’s season ticket waiting list.

Ryker Lemke isn’t even six months old yet, and he’s joined more than 100,000 people on that list.

“Nobody has confessed to it as of yet,” said Paula Wenger, Ryker’s mom.

She has no idea how he made the list.

She only found out after a postcard arrived in the mail with Ryker’s name and an ID number on it.

“The more I looked at it, I realized it was for season ticket waiting list,” said Wenger.

Paula is a Packers fan, but Ryker’s dad, Matt, is not. They are a NASCAR family and don’t even watch the games.

Ryker’s dad’s reaction to the postcard? “He threw it in the garbage,” said Wenger, “and I picked it out of the garbage because I thought it would be such a good story.”

The family suspects a friend signed Ryker up as a joke. “I have asked around, I have asked anybody that I feel is even remotely suspicious about posting it, and nobody has fessed up so far,” said Wenger.

But now that he’s on the list, Wenger says he’s staying on. “He’s going to stay on the list, I don’t think Matt knows that, but he’s staying on the list,” she said.

“I’m thinking of starting a little savings account on the side so that we can get him those season tickets if he decides he wants to be a Packers fan later in life,” said Wenger.

Wenger says if someday he actually does get those season tickets, he’ll have a great story to tell.
