Family travel tips, from local resorts and abroad
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Family travel vary between parents hauling the family off on a road trip, grandparents making the trip to visit their grandkids or other alternatives. Marianne Szymanski from Toy Tips joined us Monday, July 1, to discuss some ways to make any travel smoother.

Located less than an hour from Milwaukee, this newly renovated, over 100-year-old resort offers activities such as the Queen Lake Lawn charter, jet skiing, water sports, golf lessons, and diverse dining options. The resort has hosted performances by Big Band greats Lawrence Welk and the Tommy Dorsey Band. It features a ballroom for special events and an airstrip for private planes. The resort’s proximity to downtown Delavan makes it accessible without a car.

Summer Sports
Pickleball and Cornhole are rapidly growing summer sports. College scholarships are now available for Cornhole, with tournaments frequently held in the Milwaukee area. St. Matthias Church in West Allis is hosting an upcoming fundraiser.
