Fatal overnight crash in Milwaukee near Sherman and Silver Spring

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 35-year-old driver is dead after an overnight crash early Friday, Oct. 11 on Milwaukee’s north side.

The crash took place at around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sherman and Silver Spring, near McGovern Park.

Milwaukee police have confirmed that the car veered off of the rode, colliding with the bottom of the railroad bridge, leaving the driver with fatal injuries.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to CBS 58 that they were called to the scene, as the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

MPD's investigation is ongoing.
