MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--If you're sick-and-tired of how commercial the holiday season has become, now you have the chance to share your grievances by attending 'Festivus for the rest of us.'
It takes place Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Great Lakes Distillery in Milwaukee. The event didn't happen last year because of Covid, but organizers say it's back and better than ever. Of course some new themed cocktails along with the regular favorites will only make this Christmas Eve Eve (Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021) event even more memorable.
This secular holiday, originally created by author Daniel O'Keefe, became popular in the 1990s when it was featured on a Seinfeld episode. O'Keefe's son actually co-wrote it the episode.
