MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- MKE Downtown is hosting the first ever Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee at Red Arrow Park on Saturday, Oct. 29. Put on your costume and carve out some time to celebrate with the kids. Pumpkins will be provided to the first 500 kids, and they'll be able to paint them with the help of Artists Working in Education.

"We really want to create a safe environment, a safe alternative really, for kids aged two to 10 to come down and trick-or-treat. We'll have prepackaged candy and a very safe environment," said Gabriel Yeager with MKE Downtown.

The event starts at 10 a.m., you'll be able to meet some popular characters like Mickey, Minnie and Maribel from Encanto. Plus, a visit from Wanda the Wise Sand Witch.

"We'll have bats and toads and worms, and all kinds of things kids love to eat," said Wanda. "Bat stew is delicious."

Wanda will tell stories about her witch friends and kids will be able to craft with her too.

"We will make a little ghostie named Post Toastie," said Wanda.
