First major concrete pour takes place at Wisconsin Center expansion project

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- If you're following the progress of the Wisconsin Center expansion in downtown Milwaukee, Tuesday, May 10, was a pretty big day.

Mixer trucks were coming and going because they started the first big concrete pour of the project.

A total of 450 cubic yards of concrete will be poured for the convention center's new storm trap which will slow the amount of storm water entering Milwaukee's sewer system.

The expansion is on track to be finished in early 2024.
