First Stage presenting world premiere of 'The Forgotten Girl' in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- First Stage, a leading theater for young people and families, is set to present the world premiere of "The Forgotten Girl." The play is based on the award-winning book by India Hill Brown and adapted for the stage by playwright Idris Goodwin.

Directed by Jon Royal, the mysterious ghost story delves into issues of segregation and friendship. The performance is suggested for adults, teens and children ages 10 to 12 and has a run time of approximately 75 minutes with a brief intermission.

"The Forgotten Girl" is part of First Stage's Amplify Play Series, a program focused on "lifting voices of diverse playwrights and artists."

The play will run from Thursday, Oct. 20, to Friday, Nov. 12, at the Goodman Mainstage Hall in the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, located at 325 W. Walnut Street.
