MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As March Madness starts to wind down, officials with Fiserv Forum are already looking to the future for the next events they want to bring in.

Even ahead of the games on Sunday, March 20, fans from around the state and country, like Matthew Timm and his son from the Green Bay area, were down in the Deer District.

He said there isn't another place like it.

"It's quite a unique space, I've been to the Bradley Center but yeah this one is more open I think, they have different fan friendly activates here," said Timm.

Sports aren't the only things on the mind of those in charge at Fiserv Forum.

Senior VP and General Manager Dennis Williams said a critical part of the NCAA is how many different places people are coming from for the event.

"Usually you see an opponent of the Bucks coming into town and maybe some fans from an opposing city, but here we had eight teams on Friday, we have four teams [Sunday]," said Williams.

He said to make this happen, they went the extra mile.

Even installing carpet in parts of the facility and turning player parking into a custom media room.

Williams said they hope to show other events, like perhaps the Democratic National Convention or the Republican National Convention, that they can go the extra mile for them as well, with the goal of bringing in people from everywhere.

He said what's good for them is also good for the Deer District in general, surrounding businesses, and of course, the city of Milwaukee.

"All the businesses enjoy having their establishments filled," said Williams referring to the Deer District.
