Former 4-star WR CJ Williams commits to Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Luke Fickell does it again!
The Badgers have officially landed CJ Williams, former four-star wide receiver from USC.
Williams entered the transfer portal on Jan. 5 after just one year with the Trojans.
Wisconsin was the first school Wiliams visited, followed by a visit to West Virgnia.
Wisconsin beat out multiple Power Five schools for Williams, including West Virginia, Georgia, Texas A&M and Notre Dame.
The Trojans have two talented pass-catchers coming in, Zachariah Branch and Makai Lemon, bringing more competition to the wide receiver room at USC.
In one season with the Trojans, Williams had four catches for 34 yards, playing in 10 games.
Williams is a top 10 wide receiver in his class and the number six player in his home state of California.
Williams is the highest rated receiver in program history and is the 13th transfer portal addition for the Badgers.
Williams had been a fan favorite for many fans since he entered the transfer portal. Now, he is officially a Wisconsin Badger.
