Former Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan denied request for retrial

CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A bid by former Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan for acquittal, or a retrial, was denied in federal court Monday, April 6.
Last December, Dugan was convicted of obstruction for helping an undocumented immigrant as he tried to elude federal ICE agents at the courthouse.
Her legal team filed an appeal, but Monday, Judge Lynn Adelman denied the appeal and rejected the claim that as a judge, Dugan was immune from prosecution in this case.
Dugan resigned weeks after her conviction.
