MENASHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Former WWE Champion Adam Scherr -- aka Braun Strowman -- is eager to help those impacted by the devastating EF-3 tornado that struck Menasha on Monday. 

In a social media post, Strowman asked people for prayers and help for Menasha, Appleton, and surrounding communities. 

"Godspeed to anyone that’s up there right now helping out, and God bless to everyone in the area that was affected by this, and stay tuned, I said, I’m going to be doing everything I can in my power here in the state of Wisconsin to help out with these people hit last night with a tornado."

Strowman, in partnership with Great Lakes Championship Wrestling (GLCW) and the Milwaukee Milkmen, will host a Fox Valley Tornado Relief Donation Drive to collect much-needed supplies for those in need.

The donation will take place Thursday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Franklin Field -- located at 7035 S. Ballpark Drive in Franklin. 

The public is encouraged to bring the following high-priority items requested by emergency responders:

• Bottled water and sports drinks
• Heavy-duty trash bags, work gloves, and cleaning supplies
• Diapers, baby wipes, and baby formula
• Toiletries and personal hygiene products
• Non-perishable food and snacks
• Pet food and pet supplies

"This is about neighbors helping neighbors," said Scherr in a news release. "The people of the Fox Valley have suffered tremendous loss, and together with the Milwaukee Milkmen and Great Lakes Championship Wrestling, we're asking our fans and our community to come together and show what Wisconsin is all about."

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-3 tornado hit Menasha on Monday, with wind speeds reaching 140 mph. The devastation left behind is massive. 

This isn't the first time Strowman has stepped up to help Wisconsin during a time of need. He's previously donated to the victims of the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack and gave $40,000 to the Herman Neosho Rubicon School District for a new playground.
