MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Foxconn is looking to recruit students from UW-Milwaukee to work at the facility when they graduate.
Students have the opportunity Monday to explore possible careers.
Foxconn plans to create 13,000 jobs at its Mount Pleasant facility.
Students and the general public are invited to attend Foxconn Day at UWM to learn more about what opportunities may be available to them.
The company is looking for employees who are trained in fields like engineering, computer science, supply chain, and human resources. The event will include hourly presentations and videos about the company.
It's the first of several recruitment events planned this fall. The event Monday is the only one open to the public.
Foxconn also plans to send 10 students from UWM's College of Engineering and Applied Science to Taiwan in February of next year to study and work at the Foxconn facility through June.
Foxconn Day will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Wisconsin Room of the UWM Student Union Building at 2200 East Kenwood Boulevard.
