Franklin approves first Costco in Milwaukee County

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Franklin Common Council approved a proposal to build a Costco near 27th and Drexel, which would be the first of the wholesale retailer in Milwaukee County.

The council approved resolutions related to the Costo on Tuesday, Nov. 4. According to documents, the site will include a 162,000 square foot store with a tire sales component, a fueling station as well as another 13 acres for other developments.

Costco intends to start construction quickly and be open by next year, according to officials.
