Free Family Fun Day at Northwestern Mutual Community Park on Aug. 4

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee World Festival will host a free Sunday Family Fun Day at Northwestern Mutual Community Park on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will a STEM theme, focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Participants can explore the STEM Showcase, which includes presentations by Club SciKidz, Milwaukee Robotics Academy, STEAM Milwaukee the UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium and more.

On-stage performances will include the UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium at 11 a.m., Club SciKidz at 1 p.m. and Mad Science at 2:15 p.m.

The event will also feature balloon artists, stilt walkers and exhibits from the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center and other local organizations.

Food and beverages will be available from vendors such as Bobalou Stuffed Gourmet Pretzels, Pete’s Pops and Streetza Pizza Food Truck, among others.
