MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- On Sunday, Sept. 8, Lakefront Brewery teamed up with JR's Pups-N-Stuff Rescue to raise money and get furry friends to their forever home.
"All these animals you see what they come from, some that come from bad situations, and then they blossom into this happy life," said Katie Cottril, Volunteer.
JR'S Pups-N-Stuff is a foster-based organization, it's 100% volunteer and donation-based so events like these are vital to keeping the nonprofit going. Katie Cottril is a Virtual Home Visit Volunteer; she says it's a really rewarding process seeing these dogs get a second chance at life.
Today the organization raised money and collected much-needed supplies to continue their mission. Those who donated got a free beer from Lakefront Brewery.
Michelle O'Reilly Small has been a foster parent and volunteer with JR's for 12 years and has fostered 247 animals!
"There's so much need and we need more fosters. It doesn't take much you get the supplies you need you just need the care and the love to do it," said O'Reilly Small.
It's not too late to donate and support JR's Pups-N-Stuff. They are always looking for blankets, toys, and paper towels. If you'd like to donate, click here.
