Geneva Lake softball teams hold fundraiser in honor of 10-year-old killed in boating accident

CBS 58 LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A lemonade stand and bake sale fundraiser was held in Lake Geneva Monday, to honor one of the three children whose lives were lost in a boating accident July 3.
The family of one victim, 10-year-old Kate Schmidt, established a fund in her memory inspired by her love for softball.
It's meant to help kids who can't afford to play organized sports, and members of the Geneva Lake softball teams raised money Monday to go toward that mission.
All proceeds made from Monday's sale were donated to the cause.
