Giannis and Bucks players in Greece for "Rise" screening

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Well here's a question. Have you seen the Disney Plus movie "Rise" yet? The one based on the life of Giannis and his journey to America?

It is getting positive reviews and yesterday, on June 28, it premiered in Giannis' hometown of Athens, Greece.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, his family and other Bucks players were on hand for the screening.

"Rise" gives the Disney treatment to Giannis, chronicling his journey as the child of undocumented Nigerian immigrants in Greece to a basketball superstar.

The family-friendly movie follows young Giannis and brother Thanasis as they discover the sport while trying to make ends meet, the obstacles along the way and the events that landed Giannis in the 2013 NBA Draft, where he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks.

"Rise" is streaming on Disney Plus right now.
