MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Look who was out volunteering at Milwaukee's Diaper Mission in Franklin Monday.
That's Giannis Antetokounmpo and partner Mariah Riddlesprigger, raising awareness about the need for diaper donations in the Milwaukee area.
Mariah, who's on the board of directors for the diaper mission, and Giannis, spoke of their passion for the organization's work.
"Being able to see how that passion has turned into this is just such a blessing to me," said Mariah. "Just seeing the growth has been amazing for me."
"My father was extremely proud human being, and it was very hard for him to go out there and kind of open up and say, 'Hey, I cannot afford to get diapers for my four sons,'" said Giannis. "Being able to help families out there -- fathers, but not just fathers, mothers -- but most importantly, kids that are in need, is fricken amazing."
A new study says one in two US families experience the need for diapers.
During the press conference, Mariah was also asked about her pregnancy. Giannis said, "I know my two boys are gonna be extremely excited to meet their little sister, and protect her and spend time with her and play with her, and you know, grow up with her."
Giannis also referred to Mariah as his fiancee, stating, "I'm gonna -- soon to be married to this beautiful woman next to me."
