Giannis scores 35 but Bucks come up short in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, LA (CBS 58) - Giannis Antetokounmpo poured in a game-high 35 points and added 14 rebounds, but the Bucks couldn't overcome an early deficit in a 107-100 loss to the Pelicans.

Damian Lillard and Malik Beasley added 20 points each for the Bucks (46-27), who faced a sixteen-point deficit at halftime. Lillard hit several key shots in the fourth quarter as the Bucks pulled within five points in the final minutes, but they could get no closer against New Orleans (45-28).

Khris Middleton, who was considered a game time decision with a nagging ankle injury, scored just seven points in 33 minutes.

The Bucks road trip continues with games in Atlanta Saturday and Washington on Tuesday.
