MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Wednesday, the Republican Party unveiled their convention stage for the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
The GOP held a news conference at Fiserv Forum, and although we weren't shown the stage in person because it's still under construction, we were shown renderings of what should be the finished product.
The stage will be partially suspended from the ceiling and features more than 1,000 screens measuring 60-feet wide.
RNC Chair Michael Whatley says they're looking forward to showing off the stage next month.
"We are bringing 50,000 delegates and alternates here to Milwaukee and we could not be more excited to really, truly bring the whole world here and to be able to show off Milwaukee to the whole rest of the world," said Chairman Whatley.
The convention begins Monday, July 15 and runs through July 18.
June 5 is the last day to sign up to volunteer for the convention.
