Grammy-nominated Mariachi Herencia de México bringing festive cheer to South Milwaukee

SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Azteca Mexican Restaurant has been confirmed by the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center to be on-site prior to the upcoming Mariachi Herencia de México show. They will be selling churro bites and Mexican hot chocolate.


SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center will feature a holiday performance by Latin Grammy-nominated Mariachi Herencia de México. The ensemble's "A Mariachi Christmas" will showcase a fusion of Mexican and American Christmas favorites.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and will feature new reimagined versions of holiday favorites like "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," "Winter Wonderland" and more.

Originating from Chicago but deeply influenced by mariachi traditions from cities like Guadalajara and Mexico City, Mariachi Herencia de México has garnered widespread acclaim. Their portfolio includes multiple chart-topping albums such as "Nuestra Herencia," "Herencia de la Tierra Mía," "Esencia" and "Esencia, Vol. 2," with their most recent release in 2022 named "Herederos."

Those interested in attending can purchase tickets ranging from $51 to $67 for adults, with discounts for students and seniors.
