MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A grocery giveaway in Milwaukee Tuesday, Aug. 11, helped dozens of people stock their pantries with some much-needed food.
Several organizations teamed up to put it all together.
People were able to stop by the event near 13th and Fond du Lac to grab a nice breakfast, and shop for groceries.
Organizers say recipients of the food were overjoyed, adding that they're not the only ones that benefit from events like this.
"They're so appreciative. People go through the line and say 'thank thank you thank you, bless you.' So while you're here working you're really getting blessed too because folks are really excited about getting all these option they have," said Lyn Hildenbran, executive director for The Gathering.
Amazon and Feeding America provided the food. Running Rebels and Walnut Way also helped distribute.
