MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Christmas just wouldn't be the same without toys for the children. Thankfully, there are many in the community working to make sure kids don't go without gifts this season.
Wednesday, Dec. 15, the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee visited Nativity Jesuit Academy to deliver some toys.
They collected the toys Tuesday night at their annual Noche de Niños event. It paired local organizations with nonprofits to gather toy donations and share them with families this holiday season.
We spoke with a little girl who was quite pleased with what she picked out, not just for herself, but her siblings, too.
"It was very cool picking out these gifts, and also for my siblings, because like having this slime kit is going to be one of my biggest, biggest things I ever wanted," she said. "I got my big brother this Uno cards game and my little sister this Barbie doll because I know she loves Barbies."
Some of the toys will also be saved for Three Kings Day, also known as Epiphany, on Jan. 6.
