House fire in Germantown leaves multiple animals dead
GERMANTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Multiple animals did not survive a house fire that occurred in Germantown on Thursday, March 21 at around 3:21 p.m., according to the Germantown Police Dept.
Germantown police and fire responders acted after receiving a report of smoke being seen coming from a home on Pleasant View Dr. After investigation, it was determined that the fire likely originated from the kitchen area of the first floor of the home.
Multiple fire departments from Washington, Ozaukee and Waukesha counties responded to help extinguish the fire.
While no residents were home, multiple animals were there and did not survive the fire. Germantown PD noted that the animals that perished included dogs, birds and fish.
The home reportedly sustained serious smoke, fire and water damage.
