Husband found dead after hitting wife, making suicidal threats in Menomonee Falls
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wednesday night just after 9:20 Waukesha Dispatch got a call from a woman who said her husband made homicidal and suicidal threats. The woman had escaped her house after a domestic violence incident and was being taken to the hospital by family.
The woman told officials that her husband hit her numerous times and that he had a gun.
Menomonee Falls Police responded to the victim's home on Manchester Drive and to the hospital.
A perimeter was set up around the house since the man was known to be armed and dangerous. A tactical unit was also called in.
After several attempts to contact the suspect verbally and by phone with no results officers entered the house around 2:15 a.m. Thursday morning. The 50-year-old man was found dead.
Two homes near the house were evacuated during the incident and taken to a hotel for their safety.
