'I only wanna be with you': Darius Rucker to headline Wisconsin State Fair

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A press release from the Wisconsin State Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 19 announced that three-time Grammy winner Darius Rucker will perform at the Bank Five Nine Main Stage on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.

Rucker, best known for his career as lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish and his successful solo transition to country music, has achieved multiple chart-topping albums and singles. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2012 and earned a Grammy in 2014 for Best Solo Country Performance with his rendition of "Wagon Wheel."

An opening act will be announced later.

Tickets are priced between $65 and $85 and include same-day fair admission if purchased in advance. Sales begin Friday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. at WiStateFair.com. Pre-sale access is available through the Friends of the Fair program, which supports State Fair initiatives.
