Clinton Police investigating after students sickened by brownies in senior prank
CLINTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three students in Rock County could be charged after two students were sickened during a senior prank.
According to Clinton Police, three Clinton High School seniors bought an over-the-counter supplement at Walmart and baked it into a batch of brownies.
The brownies were eaten by five students, two of which became ill and were taken by their parents to receive medical attention. Officials said in a release the students were later released in good condition.
Clinton Police say the case will go to the District Attorney who will decide if charges will be filed against the three students.
The School District took to their Facebook page on Saturday about the incident, saying it “endangered the health and safety of other students.”
"As soon as staff became aware of the incident, school personnel took decisive action by contacting medical personnel and the Clinton Police Department,” the post said. “Because of a strong partnership with our students and parents, immediate collaborative discussions took place with the families of the victims and perpetrators.”
