MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A pair of officers who defended the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 are following the campaign trail to Milwaukee.
D.C. Metropolitan police officer Daniel Hodges and former U.S. Capitol police officer Harry Dunn spoke on behalf of President Biden's campaign on Thursday, June 13 at Milwaukee City Hall.
Hodges and Dunn were among the officers who fought with rioters supporting Former President Donald Trump, and later testified to the Jan. 6 committee.
We asked what he would tell voters who believe that at the end of the day, Mr. Trump is the better candidate for public safety moving forward.
"There's a lot of politics at the local level where I'm not a big fan of Democrats in terms of public safety, but this isn't that. Donald Trump is not a man of law and order; he's a man of himself," said Hodges.
Hodges and Dunn held events in Milwaukee and Madison. They have previously made stops in Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.
CBS 58's A.J. Bayatpour sat down with both of them for extended interviews. You can see it tomorrow night, June 14, on the CBS 58 News at 10:00 p.m.
