MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) – Family, friends and coworkers gathered at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish to pay their respects and say their final goodbye to Jesus Valle Jr., one of the five Molson Coors shooting victims.

Flowers, compassion, and tears filled the parish as people remembered Jesus Valle JR., also known to many as Jessie.

Jessie’s sister, Jenny, shared a few words about the loving family man her brother was. In Spanish she said he was known as the golden boy of the family and will always remain that way.

Jessie’s best friend, Alex Rivera also shared a few words.

“Jessie was a great father who had lots of love for his children,” says Rivera. “Whenever they would see him they would jump up with joy and say ‘hi daddy’.”

During the service, the very reverend Javier Bustos said Jessie’s funeral is only one piece of the mourning process the community is going through.

His message is to maintain the faith that will help carry us through this difficult time.

Coworkers of Molson Coors as well as the CEO Gavin Hattersley were seen at the service on Tuesday.

“My family and I will get past this pain and we will always live with this loss,” says Jenny. “We would like to thank everyone for their company and love they’ve given us during this difficult time.”

The family describes Jessie as a person filled with laughter and joy who would brighten a room with his contagious smile.

“I love you and I promise to take care of your children, just like you always asked me to,” says Jenny.

Jessie’s final resting place is at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
