Staying away from big heat as we end August
WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- State Fair is now just two days away, and Tuesday night, celebrity judges declared the winners of the Sporkies and Drinkies competition.
CBS 58
The judges ate and drank each of what the finalists had to offer, choosing only the most delicious of the offerings.
"The winner gets signs put next to their vendor station that says Sporkies and Drinkies winner, and they get long lines and crowds because everybody loves their food and drink," said Jennifer Billock, one of the judges.
The first-place Sporkies winner is the Birria Flamin' Bombs from Fiesta Grill & Cantina. It's made with slow-cooked beef birria, cilantro, onion, and melted mozzarella cheese, coated in seasoned breadcrumbs.
The first-place Drinkies winner is the Tilt-A-Spritz from the Old Fashioned Sipper Club. It has ruby red grapefruit and key lime with ginger beer effervescence.
