Kettle Moraine High School students paint parking spots for the 1st time
WALES, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kettle Moraine High School in Wales now has colorful parking lot spaces, thanks to its senior students.
They teamed up this week to decorate their own parking spaces.
Senior class president Violet Kleefisch was one of the organizers of this project. It was designed to rev up enthusiasm for the new school year. This Tuesday, they gathered in the parking lot with paint and paint brushes.
"We had students from every charter school here, every charter school and multiple from every charter school. Everyone was out here. They weren't on their phones. And you had people walking around saying, 'nice parking spot, that's super cool,'" said Kleefisch.
Kleefisch said the designs had to be approved in advance to make sure they were appropriate and positive. She calls the result of the project "awesome."
