I-43 northbound exit to Kilbourn Avenue set to close today until October 2019

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Kilbourn Tunnels rehabilitation project is moving to the next stage.

Work has been completed on the I-43 NB on ramp from Kilbourn Ave. over the weekend following a several month closure for repairs and reconstruction. Now that that is completed drivers will need to plan ahead as the next phase of the project is set to start later this morning.

Drivers will need to plan ahead starting this morning as the I-43 NB off ramp to Kilbourn Avenue will close long-term for repairs and reconstruction until Fall of 2019. During this time the tunnels ceiling and leaking expansion joints will be addressed and repaired.

Drivers will want to use Fond du lac and McKinley Ave. ramps as alternates during these closures.
