Kwik Trip to acquire Stop-N-Go stores
LA CROSSE, Wis. (CBS 58) --- Kwik Trip, Inc., a family-owned company headquartered in La Crosse, recently announced it has finalized their agreement to acquire the assets of Stop-No-Go Convenience Centers.
Wisconsin Stop-N-Go is based in Madison and has operated 36 convenience stores in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois in the last 57 years.
Kwik Trip plans to continue to operate many of the acquired stores under the existing Stop-N-Go banner, according to a news release. However, some of the larger stores in Illinois will be remodeled and rebranded as Kwik Trip or Kwik Star.
"When selecting the right buyer, it was important for us that the Stop-N-Go brand be continued," CEO and Owner of Stop-N-Go Andrew Bowman said. "All of us at Stop-N-Go have a great deal of pride and sense of accomplishment because our efforts built a brand worthy of continuing under the new ownership of Kwik Trip."
Kwik Trip announced the company is looking to hire qualified workers as they continue to grow.
"With our continued growth as well as our take home meals and fried chicken available at most stores, there are more opportunities than ever before at Kwik Trip," Recruiting Manager Stephanie Cormican said.
