MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's not a fall festival, but a Fall Fest of Ale!
Beer fans came out on Sunday, Oct. 6 to Lakefront Brewery for their annual celebration of all things Autmn and beer.
Lakefront hosted more than 30 vendors, selling everything from various arts and crafts to produce. Alongside food trucks and all kinds of beer and drinks.
The free event was pet and kid friendly too, with hand, or paw painting, glitter tattoos and root beer.
Lakefront Brewery told CBS 58 they're glad they can host celebrations like these after so much support.
"It's just a safe spot to come and hang out and see people you know and to support local artisans because we started out as just a local artisan too," said Kristin Hueneke, executive chef at Lakefront Brewery.
Besides celebrating with some beer, the event is also doing some good. A 50/50 raffle raised money for Riverwest Elementary's playground renovation.
Lakefront also partnered with Barley's Angels to hold a food drive, benefitting the Riverwest Food Pantry.
