Large-scale art installation coming to Marcus Performing Arts Center grounds as part of Rainbow Summer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An internationally touring art installation is coming to downtown Milwaukee next month.
"Lost," by Australian artist Amanda Parer, will be located on the Milwaukee Performing Arts Center (MPAC) outdoor grounds for one week only as part of Rainbow Summer. It's part of a partnership between MPAC, Milwaukee Downtown BID #21.
"Lost" features three large-scale illuminated flowers -- 16 feet tall -- with a footprint of more than 2,100 square feet.
The installation is meant to "celebrate nature whilst inspiring fantasy," according to a press release. "Reminding the visitor of Alice in her Wonderland, where she has been shrunk down to a tiny size and wanders around the gigantic plants around her."
MPAC says the flowers featured are either extinct or endangered botanical species from around the world, that have been or are soon to be lost.
Rainbow Summer is free to the public and features a public performance each day, with live music, vendor marketplaces, food trucks, and more. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. nightly.
You can check out the installation at MPAC from July 14-20.
