Local chef shares tips and tricks for healthy gameday and back-to-school snacks
Britta Kramer MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Britta Kramer is the creator of the Mood Food Method. It's a program that focuses on healthy eating in a realistic way for families and women. Kramer says it's not realistic to spend all day Sunday in the kitchen meal prepping. But she says small changes can save a ton of time.
"Maybe preparing one breakfast in advance, whether that’s an overnight oats or chia pudding, things that take minutes to prepare," said Kramer. "Even just chopping vegetables, getting fruit cut, especially if you’re packing lunches."
She teaches all of her tips in the Mood Food Method.
She also likes to make familiar foods with small swaps, like nachos with sweet potatoes instead of chips.
Her switch to intentional eating starting when she was going through pregnancy and a divorce at the same time.
"I saw a huge shift in my mood. I had always battled with a lot of anxiety, and my mood was so steady. I really wanted to do my research," said Kramer.
