Ma Baensch building for sale

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An iconic Riverwest building is up for sale.

The old Ma Baensch facility on Locust has been quiet since 2004 -- when the company enlisted new partners in Minnesota to package the herring.

But, the corporate headquarters has remained in Milwaukee County.

Lena "Ma" Baensch started the company back in the 30s.

A decade later, they moved into the Riverwest building.

The listing agent calls the 9,600 square foot building a "one-of-a-kind opportunity" for redevelopment.
