MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) says they are seeing an uptick in the Parvovirus disease in both dogs that are coming in as strays and dogs brought in by owners.
MADACC officials say on some days there have been multiple cases. They've seen more than 15 sick dogs in the last month.
All puppies and unvaccinated dogs are at risk of contracting the virus.
It affects dogs' gastrointestinal tracts and is spread by direct contact.
