MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating an accidental double shooting near 12th and Cleveland.
It happened Saturday, July 5 around 9 p.m.
According to police, the suspect was negligently handling a firearm and accidentally shot himself and an 8-year-old victim.
They both were treated at a local hospital for treatment. They are expected to survive.
The circumstances leading to the shooting are under investigation, and Milwaukee police aren't looking for additional suspects.
