Drive-by shooting kills man in Sheboygan Falls, police seek leads
SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man visiting Sheboygan Falls for a golf trip was shot and killed overnight.
The Sheboygan Falls Police Department says just after midnight Wednesday, Sept. 24, an unknown driver shot the victim while driving through downtown.
The victim has been identified as Giovanni Michael Robinson.
Those who live in Sheboygan Falls are in shock that something like this would happen.
Robinson's family says he's a new father and was in town visiting from Canada on a golf trip at Whistling Straits Golf Course -- that's according to a report from WFRV who spoke with the victim's family.
CBS 58 spoke with a bartender at Falls Tap, who says she was serving four guys before the shooting happened.
The bartender didn't want to go on camera since she's still in shock but said they were really nice guys, played pool for a bit and left just before midnight.
Within ten minutes on her way home, the bartender saw the large police presence and noticed the guys trying to help their friend.
Her coworker, Derrick, says this act of violence is concerning.
"If this is a true drive by, this is something to be concerned about," said Derrick, Falls Tap bartender. "Could this happen again? Possibly."
Sheboygan Falls police are looking for a small, dark colored SUV.
