MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County medical examiner responded to the homicide of a 40-year-old man Monday night, July 3. 

Authorities say the man was fatally shot around 5:30 p.m. outside of the North Side Meat Market at 12th and Chambers.

The victim was identified by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office Tuesday as Maurice Allen. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. 

Milwaukee police say they are now seeking a known suspect.
