Man hurt after being shot, crashing car near 48th and Hampton

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – An 18-year-old man is hurt after being shot and crashing a car Tuesday evening.

Authorities say the man walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound around 9:45 p.m.

Detectives determined the victim was sitting in a car with two other people when one of them displayed a gun and tried to rob the victim.

The victim was shot as he attempted to drive away. He then left the road and hit a tree near 48^th and Hampton.

Two possible suspects were identified and detained. They remain in custody while the investigation continues.
