UPDATE: Man passes away following motorcycle crash in Racine County

RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- The Racine County Sheriff's Office says the driver of the motorcycle, James E. Malnar II has passed away.

RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- A 25-year-old Mount Pleasant man is on life support following a motorcycle crash Sunday.

According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, the man was driving a motorcycle near Durand Ave. and 59th Dr. around 9:25 p.m. when it left the road. The operator was thrown from the vehicle. Witnesses say on the scene the driver was unconscious and bleeding.

The man was taken by Flight For Life to Froedtert hospital.

Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The man was not wearing a helmet.
