RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Sunday, May 25, the Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department (KFRD) and the Racine County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a person shot near County Highway N and Sunnyside Dr. in the Town of Dover. 

KFRD arrived on scene to find a 25-year-old male seated in the front passenger seat of a white pickup truck.

He had been traveling northbound on Sunnyside Dr. towing a fishing boat when a stray bullet penetrated the passenger's side front door and hit him. 

Responders quickly stabilized and transported him to Aurora Mount Pleasant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Racine County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
