PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS) -- The Chelan County Sheriff's Office says the search for Travis Decker has expanded nationwide, with tips and searches going on across the country.

When asked if there were any thoughts of Decker making his way back to Wisconsin, Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison says they aren't counting anything out.

"We're not ruling anything out," said Sheriff Morrison. "We have been in touch with other agencies of course across the nation and just tracking down leads. We are aware of other connections he has."

The sheriff's office released new video of decker from the days leading up to his visitation with his three young daughters who were found dead Tuesday near a campground in the state of Washington.

Decker has a military background and the sheriff's office says they are now learning Decker is well versed in wilderness survival. Sheriff Morrison says Decker is capable of spending months at a time in the wilderness on his own with very little equipment.

The sheriff's office says this brings more challenges to their already wide search and are working around the clock with agencies across the country.

"Clearly this is not the outcome we wanted to see," said Sherriff Morrison. "We were hoping that we could find Travis today, but we are feeling optimistic.

A $20,000 reward remains for a tip leading to Decker's arrest, as he is wanted for three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping.

The sheriff says the autopsy results are expected to be in Thursday, which will give authorities a better idea of how long he's been on the run.
